WE all know that sugar is bad for us but it’s a hard habit to break.
This is not an argument for not trying, and I promise to cut down.
The real damage, though, is done much sooner when parents give young children sugary drinks instead of plain water. Tooth decay and early obesity are the result, and now health professionals want a levy on sweet drinks to try to reduce problems.
It makes all kinds of sense to ban sugary drinks for children. It’s a lazy way to slake their thirst, and youngsters need good habits establishing very early. More
